YouTube users can now experience content in virtual reality, with the launch of YouTube VR.
Following its September announcement, this week’s launch means YouTube viewers can now enjoy specially designed content on the VR entry-level Oculus Go.
According to the official app page, the YouTube VR app “turns every video on the platform into your own virtual reality experience and reimagines YouTube as a 3D world you can explore from the inside.”
Announcing the launch, Lucas Matney from tech industry website TechCrunch said: “YouTube brings plenty of content in conventional and more immersive video types.
“It’s undoubtedly the biggest single hub of 360 content and native formats like VR180, though offering access to the library at large is probably far more important to the Oculus platform.”
Oculus users can download the app here.
